I’m sorry to say to all those SEO companies out there but SEO is not an exact science. What works one day, isn’t guaranteed to work the next.
Google used to like blog posts, lots of words were very good some time ago. People started to whitewash their blogs with hidden keywords. Google frowns upon this now. Then it was all about regular updates. It didn’t matter what you posted, just as long as you did it regularly.
Now it’s more about the quality of the posts, their relevance to the world and also responsiveness. Fast pages that are easy to read are now a key metric used by Google to rank your page highly.
What about Key Words?
Keywords are still important when it comes to SEO. The big thing to consider is what your customers are going to be searching for when looking for your services. Take insurance for example, there are going to be lots of competing insurance companies on the market and there are thousands of different types of insurance available. This makes it hard to get ranked for the word Insurance unless you have the largest budget to spend on keywords.
Google loves it when you want to spend more money to out rank your competitors, as this means they will also increase their spend with Google to outrank you. The biggest winner is Google and the other search engines. So yes, spend some money on keywords, they will help, just do some research on them and how they can be applied specifically to your company

Organic or Paid?
Paid Ads, boosted posts and sponsored messages. All of these are PAID for advertising methods. They will get you to the top if you spend the most, more than your competitors. The problem? They lack any weight. As soon as you stop paying, the ads disappear and your posts are not seen any more. Your audience is gone.

Organic is a mix of regular postings that are relevant and use the right key words, having a responsive site that Google and other search engines deem accessible are good, ORGANIC ways to grow your website traffic. Your regular posts kick around on the internet forever more, all helping to grow your domain ranking and thus your organic traffic. The beautify of organic is that the effects are longer lasting.
Organic is slower to get you there but the effects last longer when you stop. With paid it’s fast, but as soon as you stop, it’s gone.
Why isn’t SEO an exact science?
The main reason, I think, is so the search engine companies can make more money and stimulate the online advertising industry. If we all knew the magic formula we’d all be experts, there would be large monopolies and no point in trying. If we knew how to get everyone onto the 1st page of Google there would be conflicts of interest and it would all become messy.
What works for one company may not work for you. Its a case of trying and seeing. As long as you get the basics right you can make progress, build that firm foundation and then grow from there. IF the basics are wrong, you’ll pay a lot of money for ads, that will bring you low quality leads.
